just average?
Only yesterday my womens mag informed me that the average height of a female in this country is 5.6 ft. (average weight 67.8 kg in case anybody is interested..) I have been severely pondering on this piece of news. In the European contest we do lead together with denmark. I keep on wondering about the indian average i must say..
I never considered myself particularly tall. But then i can add another 3 inches to the average. To spice things up for the time being i was adding another 2+ inches today with my boots. And the guess what...
Not only did my feet hurt like hell, as i usually prefer sneakers and eqally flat shoes or boots. No, no... We had icy rain, which turned the pavement into a sort of mirror-like surface. I was unhappily sliding along as to avoid going down.
The morale?
You tell me..
How do all these american high heelers manage?
My personal theory goes: they hardly ever walk more then a couple of steps at any one given time and they are never under any time pressure!
I wonder seriously how they would fare in case they ever had to walk my average 10 km per day...

i used to wear a lot of highheels and there was a time my mom was most exasperated with me because i wouldnt wear anything without at least 2 inch heels....
now i wear ONLY flats!!! lol.... being around A i finally made peace with my 5ft2..lol plus he convinced me how cute short people are.. lol..
now i just need a neck brace to look up at him!!!
grafx: any 2-inch-heel makes me 6 ft and on top of the world, which i not always appriciate though....
on the other hand i have been teased as the family midget 4 much of my live.
bachelor: its not professional, i simply don't own a car!
You're like five fee... Hold on!! How tall are you!?
Aaanyway; not having a car maybe a lot better scenario than wearing high heels... you see, a car can get you flabby and a bit flat near the posterior... (heh heh!!) but high heels : unh-unh!! those are way too bad, especially for women, spinal problems et al (*grave drumroll*).
Suggestion: (we have a habit for this!!) Try a pair of flats with suede leather insole.. Feel the difference!!
Aside @ grafxgurl : Wo! You are exactly as tall as my elder sister; and A is so very correct about cute short people!!
i'm 5.9 ft. I'll come and collect those heavenly shoes from you in mumbai next time im around! You need my shoe size??
Heh! 5'9" Eh!? You are scaringly close... i mean, you know guys have this subconscious thing with girls being tall!!
As for the shoe-size; i'm 5feet 9&1/2 inches, my shoe-size is 11 (GB). So, if you do not let me know your shoe-size, i might make an (un)educated purchase of size 10!!! Now, you don't wanna flop around in those, do you??
Also, i must caution you, i'm not so very endowed as of now to buy Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino Morris, Prada, etc.. I'll just go out to the slums of Dharavi, and get those heavenly shoes!!

My UK size is 7.5. And we were talking comfortable shoes na?? Frankly speaking those italians don't make shoes in my size really, so that would save you a lot of money!
Believe it or not, this winter is endless, now we have round zero degree but an icy wind blesses us and again we had snow predicted. i m fed up!
